Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021

10. 2012 - Hiroshi Tanahashi

A non-stop escalation of super-technical fretboard noodling that folds in minor key melodrama at the one minute mark, 'High Energy' is as great at manipulation as the man it soundtracked: the genius of psychology, Hiroshi Tanahashi.

A perfect, earnest vehicle for his rock star charisma, its turbo-charged structure builds and builds and builds to several incredible crescendos. Intricate and memorable and joyous, it really was the perfect song for the Ace: it embodied every one of his incredible characteristics, and you can understand why people pooh-poohed the fantastic 'Love & Energy' out of hand.

This was too iconic to f*ck with.
