Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021

11. 2011 - CM Punk

Killswitch Engage are aren't the hardest band.

They're not even a punk band, and their most famous song was used for CM Punk.

And yet, against the butt rock backdrop of WWE's PG era, 'This Fire Burns' cast CM Punk as an authentic disturbance raging against the company's bullsh*t ideals. The theme encapsulates Punk's fury at the anti-meritocracy through which he had to persevere to get what he deserved. The ugly breadown and its guttural screaming best captures this, and at Money In The Bank, it really did feel like the theme soundtracked a near-riot.

Punk was the man who channeled fan fury, and this theme translated that feeling so much more potently than 'Cult of Personality'.
