Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021

4. 2018 - Johnny Gargano

CFO$ had the temerity to loop their themes rather a lot, but a wrestling theme isn't meant to be listened to across the full duration.

It starts, you pop, get the gist, and onto the match.

Besides which, CFO$ wrote some bangers in their brief time, and WWE's music department has gone to complete sh*t now they're gone. 'Rebel Heart' was among their best: a tremendous, unmistakably babyface tune. With its effervescent melody and Jimmy Hart Version of Coheed and Cambria's trademark helium vocal melodrama, it was perfect for prime Johnny Wrestling's charged, earnest struggles. That run hasn't dated particularly well, since what worked so well has since been cannibalised beyond parody, but it was special.

'Rebel Heart' will one day resonate with a real nostalgia.
