Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021

2. 2020 - Chris Jericho

The appeal of Judas isn't quite what it was - though 5,000 Daily's Place diehards singing along means far more than the dissenting voices growing tired of the Dark crew pretending to go crazy for it - but you can almost forgive AEW for making an organic trend A Thing. Pre-pandemic, Judas was becoming iconic.

It's not arranged for pro wrestling, but it also is: the sharp sting and big riff generates the pop, and the slow verse doesn't lose momentum but rather allows Jericho register his star presence as something he simply exudes.

The chorus is a skyscraper, one that mirrors the scale of his star aura, and even those who can't abide butt rawk as a genre blasted the sh*t out of it on Spotify at the peak of Le Champion: it was the soundtrack to pro wrestling's reemergence on the big time stage once dominated by sports entertainment.
