NXT was so electric in 2014 because it packaged state-of-the-art professional wrestling within WWE's trademark production glamour. It felt a definitive new chapter: the familiar and comforting high-end patina of WWE elevated by undiluted in-ring excellence.

Neville's mind-blowing Red Arrow was an exhilarating visual metaphor of it: if this was a new story, the image of Neville, captured mid-rotation, was the cover. You didn't see moves like this in the methodical movie-making of WWE. It was too advanced, too risky.

A wince-inducing impact powered by his über-ripped frame and the physically improbable rotation, this absolutely nailed the theatre and the bloodlust that represents the most potent success of the aerial style.
