Ranking What Was REALLY The Best Wrestling PPV Every Year 1990-2020

21. 2000 - WWF Royal Rumble

A preposterously fun show, it's astonishing how quickly the WWF moved throughout the Attitude Era.

With no Steve Austin, what was an holistic process flexed its balloon of a bicep to create star after star and pave so much new narrative ground. The Hardy Boyz and the Dudleys drafted the blueprints for a brand new match genre in a frenetic and ghoulish - and very well worked and suspenseful - Tables match. Tazz had his one good night in the company, after which he was stupidly relegated, but what a night it was: he looked like a killer in a cameo brimming with dangerous energy.

Triple H and Cactus Jack put on a world class brawl that did so much to enhance Trips' main event warlord aura, and while the residual stink of those 1998 and 1999 undercards still permeated the air, and the Rumble match struggled into life, this remained a fabulous watch.

Blood, heat, transgression, and t*ts: if you were 15, WCW meant as much to you as bowls.
