Ranking What Was REALLY The Best Wrestling PPV Every Year 1990-2020

4. 2017 - NJPW Dominion

Okada Omega II Faint
NJPW

One of the greatest pro wrestling shows ever, nothing was bad. Virtually everything was very good at an absolute minimum. The high-end match quality was astonishing in its depth of craft. And, then, in the main event, NJPW somehow contrived to improve upon the very best pro wrestling product ever.

Tetsuya Naito Vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi was another entry in their fantastic series and its captivating, twisting psychology. Hiromu Takahashi Vs. KUSHIDA was a tense and explosive junior classic brimming with an awesome vibe of animosity. The Young Bucks did typically exceptional Young Bucks things.

Dominion 2017 was headlined by what was then the greatest wrestling match ever.

An absolutely mesmerising epic that earned its hour-long time limit through crafting a genius story around it - Kenny Omega's exhausted fall has since become iconic for how perfect everything was, and how perfectly it was all registered - Omega Vs. Okada II was an impossible match. It was greater than the greatest.

How the f*ck was Omega Vs. Okada IV even better, man...
