'The Hitman's first return to anything WWE was shocking enough, but when Bret Hart's Hall Of Fame induction followed in 2006, it felt like all the ice had finally melted between two sides that had been parted nearly a decade.

It wasn't quite the case, as it turned out. Hart chose not to attend WrestleMania. He knew the difference between what it meant to speak at a podium and step into a ring. That magic was for another day.
