A rather fitting finale following a year of tragedy and chaos for the real lives of the roster, WWE were given another bodyblow when stoic staple John Cena sustained an injury that forced him to vacate his Championship.

A nothing match with Mr Kennedy saw his 380 day reign up in smoke without getting anybody else over. Reports were that he'd be gone at least a year too...
