Ranking WWE's First Ever NXT Class - From Worst To Best
17. Byron Saxton
Byron Saxton will celebrate two decades with WWE in 2027, having first worked for Florida Championship Wrestling all the way back in 2007. Though he got comfortable in the Tampa training facility, his introduction to WWE's brightest lights was in the worst possible setting.
Cursed by his place on the talent show version of NXT, Saxton was theoretically as doomed as all the rest but eventually found his way into a regular role by getting into broadcasting.
Cutting an affable figure even in the face of abuse from the likes of Corey Graves, John Bradshaw Layfield and Jerry Lawler over the years, Saxton's perpetually nice demeanour stood in direct opposition to WWE in general.
Pivoting to a full-time career behind the desk, he's been a permanent member of the WWE broadcast team since the mid-2010s, having taken numerous other commentary roles since wrestling his hung up the boots for good in 2012.
