"Not medically cleared to compete" meant THIS on WWE Raw...

Becky Lynch not being "medically cleared to compete" on last night's WWE Raw was a shoot, not a work.

Lynch had been due to defend her NXT Women's Championship against Tegan Nox on the show. In between segments, announcer Michael Cole confirmed Becky's injury status, noting that she suffered an arm laceration while wrestling Tiffany Stratton at the past weekend's NXT No Mercy premium live event.

'The Man' posted an image of her war wound to Instagram, which was also shared on Raw.

Authority figure Adam Pearce informed Nox of the situation in a backstage segment. Tegan was understanding of the circumstances, with her NXT Women's Title shot still on the table. Then, she was interrupted by Chelsea Green, setting up a singles match between the two for later in the night. Nox ended up defeating Green in around two minutes.

Fightful Select had reported on Lynch's injury status prior to Raw, noting that she wasn't cleared. This then played out on the show.

It was the second time in as many weeks that Nox had had an NXT Women's Title shot pulled. She was originally set to face Becky on the 18 September episode of Raw, though WWE officials removed her in favour of Natalya.
