Rebooking The 2002 WWE Brand Extension Draft

11. Raw Pick 5: Eddie Guerrero

Ric Flair Vince McMahon 2002 Draft

Actual Pick: Booker T

Ric Flair picked up another wrestler to shore up the upper midcard on Raw, taking Eddie Guerrero with his fifth pick. Eddie had been out of the WWE for a year dealing with personal issues, but had turned his life around and re-signed with the company. Flair scooped Eddie up quickly, as he is one of the best pure wrestlers in the company.

Eddie would develop one of the most lovable personalities with his "Lie, Cheat and Steal" gimmick that, combined with fantastic matches, propelled him to the top of the card where he would win the WWE Championship and then main event WrestleMania.

Unfortunately, Eddie would suddenly and tragically pass away in 2005, but up until that point, Eddie was one of the top stars in the company.
