Actual Pick: Edge

Hey, we actually got one right in hindsight!

Vince McMahon continues with the youth movement on Smackdown by taking one of the top rising stars in the company, the reigning King of the Ring, Edge. After a couple runs as Intercontinental Champion, Edge is just coming off a win over Booker T at WrestleMania X8 in front of his hometown crowd of Toronto.

Vince ended up getting a real gem in Edge. After turning heel in late 2004, Edge would win the first Money in the Bank match and would then become WWE Champion, in turn becoming The Ultimate Opportunist. Numerous world championships, a Royal Rumble win, a WrestleMania main event and a first ballot Hall of Fame induction later, Edge ended up being one of the most decorated WWE superstars of all-time.
