Actual Pick: William Regal

Just like Edge, we have an actual pick that happened in real life!

Realising that he needs an exclusive singles title on Raw, Ric Flair selects William Regal with the 9th pick, making the European Title exclusive to Raw. Regal had just defeated Diamond Dallas Page to win back the gold.

Regal would lose the European Championship to Jeff Hardy, and would go on to have multiple different roles in the company. Regal's biggest storyline would come in 2004 where he would be the caretaker of Eric Bischoff's nephew, Eugene, and he would deliver the excellent "born evil" promo to Triple H.

Regal is currently the General Manager of NXT on-screen, and helps out the upcoming wrestlers with their training off-screen.
