Rebooking WWE WrestleMania 2000: 8 Ways To Make It Better

5. Chris Benoit Vs. Kurt Angle Vs. Chris Jericho Vs. Tazz - Intercontinental/European Title

Just a slight modification on the EuroContinental Title match, as I have added Tazz to the equation, turning the original three way into a four way. There are several reasons for this. First, it gives Tazz, who had a blistering WWE debut but quickly dropped down the card, something better to do (on the original card he helped make up the numbers in the hardcore match). Secondly, it would help to give the match a little bit more structure. Three ways are notoriously hard to do and make work well, whereas four ways allow participants to pair off with one another, allowing for more one versus one and two versus two scenarios. Thirdly, it adds a little bit more intrigue, given that there are now three potential new champions. This one would go fifteen minutes, with Benoit winning the first fall and the Intercontinental Title and Jericho winning the second and European Title. To excuse the loss of both of his titles, Angle will have been incapacitated by a Tazzmission. To add even more storyline fuel to the fire, Angle would have been tapping out to the hold, only for the referee to miss it because he was counting the fall for Jericho or Benoit. That would give Tazz justification to demand a rematch at the next PPV, while Angle would also get an automatic rematch. Four-man gauntlet match at Backlash, anyone?
