Rebooking WWE WrestleMania X-Seven's Gimmick Battle Royal For Modern Times
4. Santino Marella
Much like The Hurricane, you cannot talk about WWE's greatest clowns with mentioning The Milan Miracle. Despite debuting under very unfunny circumstances - beating Umaga for the Intercontinental Championship on his first night in the company - Santino Marella carved out a niche for himself as WWE's go-to comedian.
Whether it was teaming with Beth Phoenix, being eliminated from the Royal Rumble in one second, or hosting "Tea Time" with Sheamus, Santino had an uncanny ability to make any situation funny. His "Italian" accent may have been about genuine as a three Euro bill, but fans were willing to look past that because he made them laugh.
There are a number of directions you could take with Santino in a Gimmick Battle Royal. He could go on a rampage with his "Cobra" finisher (a "Cobra Party", if you will) or he could recreate his famous one second elimination only to sneak back into the match later on as his feminine counterpart "Santina". The possibilities are endless!
He's not to everyone's liking, but a comedy match without Santino in it would feel like the Cobra sock when he's not wearing it - empty.
