Rebuilding TNA: A Look At TNA Impact Wrestling Roster

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS

Sting While ever Sting is in TNA he should only ever be used sparingly as a special attraction. He was fine as 'General Manager' and in a short run against Bobby Roode, but having Sting perform on a weekly basis just isn't going to cut it anymore. He can't 'go' like he used to and isn't a big enough draw in 2012 to keep hanging around the main event just for the sake of name value alone. He needs to contribute something and the only way to do that is to keep him for big shows. Abyss Abyss has had his day. He's neither main event nor X Division and should be used like TNA's version of The Undertaker. Have him show up, kill a few people and then disapear back to wherever it is he came from. I'd also have him return to his roots as a mute, probably with a mouthpiece like James Mitchell again. Abyss could still be something special if used correctly, and keeping him off TV to push the Joseph Parks angle has been a wise decision. Hulk Hogan Keep Hulk off TV. Use him as a mouthpiece for promotion. If he continues to appear on TV and Radio and refuse to talk about the company he's supposed to work for then fire him. It's that simple. He hasn't contributed anything. Sure, there are other contracted wrestlers I haven't mentioned and they can simply be thrown into the mix as mid-card and jobbers. The Knockouts are an entity unto themselves and at present cannot be saved without bringing some new talent into the mix. And as for the tag team titles - well, the less said the better at the moment. With these three key areas covered TNA would then be in a position to continue to build themselves up without relying on recycled WWE/WCW story lines and out dated ideas. Their success will depend upon consistency - and how more consistent can you be than to keep the same wrestlers associated with the same title for an extended period of time. 2012 has been the strongest year for Impact Wrestling since Hogan and Bischoff jumped on board, let's hope things stay on the up and lead to a highly prosperous and competitive 2013.
