14 months after being released by WWE, Santana Garrett is back in the promotion.

The former NXT wrestler appears to have landed a coaching role with the market leaders. This first became apparent on Monday, when Garrett tweeted a photograph of herself clad in a WWE t-shirt, accompanied by a number of different hashtags - including #PerformanceCenter and #Coach.

Garrett has since on into greater detail on her Instagram Stories (h/t Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online):-

"First day back and I'm in a class helping with new hires. These girls are less than three months in, and they are amazing. Like, I think back to me three months in and I see these girls and I'm just like, 'Oh my gosh, I had no chance.' But then also, to be fair, I just learned how to put my own eyelashes on like a year ago. So, slow learner I guess. And a huge thank you for the overwhelming support. I am blown away. The messages already, I just posted like 15 minutes ago. But thank you, thank you guys so much. So nice."

Initially signed to WWE in August 2019, having made multiple appearances for the promotion in prior years, Garrett was let go by the promotion as part of a group of NXT releases in June 2021. The 34-year-old has wrestled for multiple promotions since then, including IMPACT Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling, though she hadn't signed anywhere.

Garrett last competed in June 2022. Whether her Performance Center coaching gig spells the end for her in-ring career is unclear.
