Report: AEW All Out 2021 Has Highest "Get In" Ticket Price In Wrestling History
You're going to have to pay a pretty penny to get into AEW All Out on 5 September...
AEW All Out 2021 currently has the highest "get in" ticket price in professional wrestling history, reports Dave Meltzer.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer noted that with All Out already sold out, the lowest-priced ticket on the secondary market at his time of recording was $323. He added that to his knowledge, only a handful of wrestling shows have ever had a get in price of over $150.
One such event was NXT TakeOver: Dallas in 2016, which hosted Shinsuke Nakamura's hotly-anticipated WWE debut.
Contrary to common belief, scalping is not widespread for All Out 2021. Only 785 tickets were purchased for resale when they were initially released. Meltzer notes that this represents 7.1% of total tickets sold for the event (Wrestling Observer Newsletter), which is way below the industry average of 20% for a hot show.
The get in price has since risen to $327. Six days ago, before the CM Punk rumours started intensifying, it sat at $143.
All Out 2021 goes down in Punk's Chicago, IL hometown on 5 September. No matches have been announced for the show at the time of writing.
