Report: Sasha Banks/Naomi May Have Issues With WWE Contracts

Another wrinkle to the Sasha Banks/Naomi Raw walkout, which continues to develop.

Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of last night's episode of WWE Raw during the broadcast may have had something to do with a contractual issue.

Dave Meltzer reported on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the walkout was "a lot deeper than anything WWE has said" in its official statement, stating he had heard there was more to the matter than the tandem feeling uncomfortable working with planned Raw opponents Becky Lynch, Asuka, Doudrop, and Nikki A.S.H.

Further information on Banks and Naomi leaving Raw is expected to emerge later in the week. While the story remained incomplete at the time of writing, Meltzer believes that there is "major heat" on Banks specifically at the moment.

Potential issues with Banks and/or Naomi's WWE contracts were also mentioned. While this is largely speculative at the moment, the situation is believed to have arisen due to a culmination of things that were building up, not one singular event. Again, further details will likely come to light over the next few days.

Banks and Naomi leaving Raw necessitated widescale rewrites during the broadcast. Instead of the planned six-pack main event challenge (due to feature the aforementioned wrestlers), Asuka ended up facing Lynch one on one.
