15. He Had Lifelong Issues With His Adoptive Parents

Flair opens up about the relationship he had with his parents, who adopted him the year after they lost their baby daughter and could not conceive again.

Throughout his entire life, Ric struggled to connect with his parents, whose interest in community theater was completely opposed to his own love of wrestling.

He says he's sure he was a disappointment to them every day, from getting arrested as a youngster while trying to buy alcohol with a fake ID, to eventually being successful enough to buy a $2 million house, which his father immediately turned his nose up at.

Perhaps saddest of all is the fact that his parents only came to see him wrestle a grand total of three times in their lives.
