Ricochet To Leave WWE Later This Month?

Once touted 'WWE's Resident Superhero', Ricochet is now lucky to make Main Event, let alone Raw.

Fresh speculation links underused WWE wrestler Ricochet with a move away from the company, as the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online's Bryan Alvarez believes the high-flying star is yet to sign a new contract.

Alvarez noted this belief on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live.

Ricochet signed for WWE back in January 2018. He and fellow newcomers Candice LeRae, Erik, and Ivar inked three-year deals at the time, meaning that if the former Lucha Underground man hasn't agreed an extension between now and then, he may depart Vince McMahon's promotion later this month.

This isn't the first time Ricochet has been linked with a WWE exit, as the former NJPW junior heavyweight standout denied talk that he was on his way out of Stamford when his name was linked to a September 2020 report stating a "certain WWE talent" had opted against re-signing with the company.

Widely regarded as one of WWE's most misused wrestlers, Ricochet fell from grace after being squashed by Brock Lesnar in under two minutes at Super ShowDown last February, though he has continually struggled for momentum on the main roster. A one-sided losing feud with RETRIBUTION compounded his Raw misery in December.
