Ring Of Honor COO Joe Koff Interview: ROH 500, Product Relaunch, Maintaining Talent, More

ROH has done a better job lately than it has in years past of maintaining talent and not letting them go to other promotions. What do you think that's a testament to?

Koff: I think it says a lot about the company and how it's developed and what it represents to the people that are in it. As I look around the landscape of all the other promotions, they are scattered with Ring of Honor stars. I think what's changed in the last couple of years is that Ring of Honor is a place where an athlete or a wrestler can feel comfortable being. We offer a little bit different as far as environment and experience.

I think that's attractive to any of the talent, which keeps them to stay. We've always respected the workload and I think we've respected them as human beings. We've never stopped anyone because people aspire to be where they want to be. I think we should encourage that. Some people realize the grass isn't always greener and some people excel in that environment. I like having that piece of the fabric of their professional life.
