"Finally The Rock has come back to Toron...Toron...to run his mouth on all your candy asses." The Rock was fresh as a heel leading up to his big WrestleMania 19 match against Steve Austin. With Austin not there Rock showed up for a promo. His Raw return was a surprise because he was a Smackdown talent at that point. It was hilarious to hear him rip on the crowd because they started cheering when he mentioned Toronto. "Is that the first time you've heard somebody say the name of your city?" He did a promo against the city about how the fans cheered for Hulk Hogan more than him a year earlier at WrestleMania 18. "Last year there were 68,000 of you Mother Canuckers booing The Rock out of the building." That line was hilarious and people still joke about the "Mother Canuckers" line too. This was the best line of the promo: "There's only one true superstar of the decade, true superstar of the millennium - you know who that is? The Rock will tell you who that is. Toronto, that is the jabroni beating, pie eating, trailblazing, eyebrow raising, strong than a bear, faster than a buck, the biggest thing to hit Canada because the Maple Leafs suck!" There was a huge reaction to that because Toronto loves their hockey team, the Maple Leafs. Rock mocked the crowd for cheering the line too. He was also greeted with an "a**hole" chant for that one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWWLDCSFnvg His reason for going heel in 2003 made a lot of sense and there were so many great promo moments with him during that short run. He may be known more as a face, but the heel act provided even more funny moments.
