ROH Final Battle 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen
1. Nigel McGuinness Debuts
...this guy.
Nigel McGuinness left WWE a few months ago. That didn't go down well with everyone, because he'd grown to become part of the furniture on NXT years ago before being demoted down to the NXT UK brand. Then, just like that, Nige was out the door and his destiny became a mystery.
Tony Khan has lost William Regal, but he could gain another brilliant wrestling mind overnight if he inks a deal with McGuinness to show up at Final Battle. Think about it: McGuinness aligning with Claudio Castagnoli (cutting his promos for him) and running a stable of former ROH World Champs opposite Jericho's reign of tyranny?
Sounds great. Also, Nigel's real-life pal Bryan Danielson is another who's at a loose end because of the whole BCC business, so he'd slot in nicely back alongside Claudio. One signing could see ROH booking storm into 2023 with serious purpose.
