Roman Reigns Vs. Brock Lesnar Is Far From Over

Brock Lesnar sends the WWE Universal Champion a message ahead of tonight's SmackDown.

As expected following the conclusion to their Universal Title match at WWE Crown Jewel 2021 on Thursday, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is far from over.

The duo's headlining bout ended acrimoniously. Referee Charles Robinson took a bump as Lesnar landed an F5 on Reigns, scoring a visual pinfall but not the title, as there was no official to make the count. This ultimately led to Paul Heyman sliding the Universal strap into the ring to be used as a weapon, Lesnar outmuscling Roman in a tug of war, then getting the belt superkicked into his face by the interfering Usos.

This was enough for Reigns to successfully retain.

With Brock thoroughly screwed out of the belt, WWE has now uploaded the following statement from him ahead of tonight's episode of SmackDown:-

“The moment I arrive at SmackDown, I will beat Roman Reigns senseless.”

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported earlier this month that WWE planned on stretching the Reigns/Lesnar rivalry beyond Crown Jewel. Brock's comments now back this up.

Provided the pay-per-view retains its Brand Warfare theme, Reigns could now be expected to face the WWE Champion, Big E, at Survivor Series 2021 on 21 November.
