Roman Reigns Weighs In On Recent Jon Moxley Controversy

WWE's 'Tribal Chief' had a lot to say about Bully Ray's recent comments on Jon Moxley.

Jon Moxley Bully Ray

Roman Reigns broached the controversial subject of Bully Ray and Jon Moxley during his appearance on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast.

The well-spoken Universal Champion said that he, unlike countless others, could see where Bully was coming from in terms of accountability and "prioritising our fans". However, Roman doesn't think that his old Shield stablemate needs to apologise to anyone.

In fact, Reigns believes that Jon did "what needed to be done" and deserves praise for refusing to "shy away" from the chance to tell his story and possibly help other people in the process. That's something the WWE star views as inspiring, but he can also see why Ray offered his super-unpopular take too.

This led to chatter on the relationship between pro wrestling fans and the men and women who work matches. To Roman, it's important not to lose sight of Moxley's "brutal honesty" with himself or the wrestling community.

The AEW man has taken steps to get himself healthy and on the right track mentally again. That's not something to be sniffed at, and Reigns is happy with the thought that Moxley's introspection might motivate others to do the same.
