Ronda Rousey's PPV Matches - Ranked From Worst To Best
4. vs. Nia Jax, TLC '18
This match benefited quite a lot from the nuclear heat that was on Nia Jax at the time.
A month removed from legitimately injuring the white-hot Becky Lynch, Jax still had a target on her back going into her RAW Women's Championship match with Ronda Rousey at WWE TLC 2018. Fans were dying to see Rousey make mincemeat out of her undeserving contender and, while she did get her hand raised at the end, it did not come easily.
See, Nia was actually a viable threat to Rousey given her size and her propensity for womanhandling smaller opponents. Both Jax and Rousey sold their asses off for one another throughout, which made Ronda's comeback all the more compelling. There was even a point in the match where Rousey hit a top-rope Cross Body onto Jax on the floor outside the ring, which was not only an impressive display from the largely ground-based Rousey, but also a good piece of pro-wrestling storytelling in that she had to pull out all the stops to take down her much larger opponent.
In the end, Rousey made Jax tap with the armbar at 10 minutes, 50 seconds, but both women deserve major props for this one.
