Rusev Out Of Action For At Least Two Months
The extent of the Bulgarian's Brute's leg injury is now known.
Former WWE US Champion Rusev suffered a broken foot or ankle during a SmackDown match a few weeks ago and as a result he's out of action until at least the end of the July, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. After that two month period he could return to action although that will only be known after more testing is done. t's one of those real things that WWE has turned into a storyline although they don't seem too sure about what the injury is. During the Elimination Chamber show, the announcers said he had a broken foot. On Monday's Raw, Rusev said he had a broken ankle. Either way, he's going to be out of action for a few months. What's interesting about it is that Rusev appeared on both Raw and Smackdown this week in promo segments. That's probably because he did that big breakup angle with Lana and the plan was to capitalize on the heat he was getting, so they must figure that he has to remain on TV in order to get that heat and to make Lana into more of a babyface. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoZgR1XJHZQ When Rusev returns, he may choose to wrestle in traditional wresting boots as well. Wrestling barefoot may have led to his injury because when he landed over the top rope he landed on his foot badly. Nobody really knows if wearing a boot would have helped him in that situation, but it's very possible.
