Former Intercontinental Champion reveals reasons for going home before Raw.

As we noted earlier on WhatCulture, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback flew home from Monday's Raw broadcast before the show began.

Ryback, whose contract with the company expires this summer, was allegedly meeting with Vince McMahon to work out the details of a new deal, but when they couldn't come to an agreement, McMahon suggested Ryback go home. "The Big Guy" took the WWE Chairman up on his offer.

Now, Ryback has written a post on his tumblr blog in order to explain exactly what happened between himself and McMahon, and why he has thus far refused a new deal with the company. According to the star, his dissatisfaction stems from money, but not the specific amount he's being offered. Rather, he views his own situation as endemic of a problem in pro wrestling - namely, that results are predetermined, but over time, stars who win more matches make more money than stars who lose.

In pro wrestling, there's no "winner's purse" paid to the victors in matches, but stars who win more typically rise higher and higher up the card, eventually demanding better salaries. Those who lose matches fall down the pecking order, eventually disappearing from TV and sometimes losing their jobs. Ryback argues that stars like him should be paid to reflect their hard work and improvement, rather than the whims of a creative team.

Needless to say, revealing the details of his frustration online will likely not endear Ryback to WWE management. He acknowledges this, writing, "WWE may very well release me, which if it is the case so be it." He still seems to hold out hope for a reconciliation with the company and a change to the way they do business, but he ends the post with the words "FEED ME MORE" in phonetic Japanese, possibly hinting at his next path in pro wrestling.
