The Inner Circle lost one of its cornerstone members last night, as Chris Jericho's former protégé, Sammy Guevara, walked out on the AEW power stable.

Guevara confronted Inner Circle infiltrator MJF early on Dynamite, accusing him of trying to take the group over. The ever-manipulative MJF turned this around on Sammy, goading him into saying that he hated Jericho, not Maxwell, which 'The Salt of the Earth' recorded secretly and out of context. Enraged, Guevara threw MJF's phone against the wall and punched him in the ribs.

MJF and Jericho then wrestled The Acclaimed. Maxwell had his ribs taped up as the duo took the W, with 'Le Champion' pinning Max Caster via Judas Effect. After, Guevara hit the ring while the rest of The Inner Circle were celebrating, making good on a previous promise to quit the group if there was one more incident with MJF. Alex Marvez tried to interview him on his way out of the building but Sammy blew him off, saying he needed some time away.

This is a particularly significant development as MJF has constantly attempted to usurp Guevara as Jericho's preferred protégé since beginning his quest to gain The Inner Circle's trust. Maxwell has now succeeded in that, and Guevara, it would appear, is the only member of the group who isn't blind to MJF's manipulation.
