Sasha Banks Files Telling New Trademark Application

Sasha Banks has filed a trademark application for her real name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Per the USPTO's database, Banks filed the application for 'Mercedes Varnado' on 1 December 2022, doing so with Michael E. Dockins, the wrestling-affiliated 'Gimmick Attorney.'

Interestingly, Bank's application lists not only professional wrestling, but music (including live performances) and acting as well.

Sasha is pursuing the mark for the following purposes:-

This is Banks' second major trip to the USPTO in as many months, having filed applications for 'Mercedes Mone'', 'Mone' Talks', 'Bank Mone'', and 'Statement Maker' on 11 November. Expect further speculation to stem from this latest set of filings.

Sasha is currently inactive in wrestling following her and Naomi's decision to walk out of a WWE Raw taping in May. WWE suspended the duo indefinitely and stripped them of the Women's Tag Team Championships in the process, leaving their wrestling futures in limbo. This remains the case. Although constant rumours have swirled around both, there is currently no concrete word on the duo re-signing - or leaving WWE outright.

Banks recently confirmed that she had wrapped filming on her first movie.
