Per their longstanding, self-imposed stipulation, Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels were forced to go their separate ways after losing to The Young Bucks, having earned their Tag Team Title shot through several weeks of rankings supremacy.

Kazarian and Daniels agreed months ago that they'd split up following their next two-on-two loss. Though they had gone 13-0 in 2021 prior to Dynamite, last night was a bridge too far, with the Bucks pinning Daniels after the veteran had had his blood spilt across ringside.

The match was driven more by story than action, though it wasn't lacking in that department either. Daniels was busted open after being superkicked into the ring post. This left Kazarian flying solo for an extended period, generating drama as he battled the two-on-one odds, before a woozy, wobbly CD attempted a heroic comeback.

Daniels showed heart, scoring a big kick out when an air can was sprayed in his face with the referee distracted, but the Bucks put him down with the BTE-Trigger to successfully retain. The cameras didn't linger on it, but Kaz and Daniels hugged after the bell.

SCU were the first act unveiled at AEW's first Jacksonville press conference in January 2019. As a tandem, Kaz and Daniels had been together since 2012, wrestling as Bad Influence in TNA, The Addiction in ROH, and SCU for the last few years, with Scorpio Sky completing their trio.
