Seth Rollins Was Due To Drop WWE Title To Roman Reigns

Rollins' run was almost up. Plus, first photo of Rollins since the injury news.

Seth Rollins was due to drop the WWE Title to Roman Reigns, PWInsider are reporting. The plan going into WrestleMania 32 was that Reigns would be the one defending the championship. The Rollins Reigns match was due to take place at both Survivor Series and TLC, so the title change may well have been booked in December. Now WWE are scrambling to change booking plans, having to rethink main events for Survivor Series, TLC, and the Mania show. There is of course a good chance that they'll still put the belt on Reigns in the next two months, sending him into Mania as champion just as they had planned. Brock Lesnar winning the Royal Rumble and re-matching with Reigns would make sense in that scenario, with Reigns finally getting the star making win over The Beast. Rollins is scheduled to fly back from the UK today or tomorrow. He'll be returning to Iowa and surgery is imminent. His expected lay-off is thought to be the worst case scenario, a gruelling nine months. The knee injury he suffered was as bad as they come. Below is the first photo of him, taken on Thursday night, which shows that he's keeping in good spirits with his fellow WWE wrestlers.
