Shane McMahon: 5 Major Storyline Impacts His WWE Return Will Lead To

1. The Return Of The WWE Brand Split (RAW, SmackDown, NXT)

Shane McMahon returning to the WWE will eventually lead to the biggest change for the company in years... The return of the WWE brand split. It's logical and makes the most sense for the WWE right now. Look for Shane McMahon to get control of RAW, and shake things up on that show. This will leave Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon to control SmackDown, which would give that show the boost it now needs in order to deliver higher ratings for the USA network. The wildcard in all this would be Triple H. As mentioned earlier, The Authority has run its course over the last couple of years. Vince and Stephanie pairing up on SmackDown will be refreshing, and would leave Triple H free to continue to do what he does best, run NXT! This is the role that fits Triple H best, as he has been able to sign the top talents from around the world to NXT. Triple H's on air role (and ridiculous run as WWE Champion, never defending it) gets him a lot of heat as he is known for burying talent. However, Triple H is not that wrestler/personality we see on WWE TV; instead, he is the guy who pushes to sign all of these under sized Indy talents to NXT. It's his vision that has made NXT one of the hottest brands it is today. NXT is no longer considered developmental, but more like the Indy promotion of the WWE. With NXT now traveling all over the states, as well as the UK, Triple H has transformed NXT to its own brand entity. Shane McMahon returning will not only give the WWE the shot in the arm it so desperately needed leading into WrestleMania, but it will also lead to long term changes. The strengthening of all three brands (RAW, SmackDown, NXT) will be the most important of those changes!
