Shane McMahon announced via Twitter that next week's Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin match on SmackDown has huge implications for next month's Fastlane pay-per-view.

AJ Styles defending the WWE Title against both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Triple Threat match had already been set for the March 11 show. Now, either Ziggler or Corbin will be added to the mix and the match has been changed to a Fatal-4-Way.

This is all part of WWE's ongoing storyline power struggle between SmackDown Commissioner McMahon and his General Manager Daniel Bryan. The game of oneupmanship they're playing on TV suggests that things must come to a head between the pair.

Daniel Bryan's in-ring future remains up in the air though, so it's rather brave of WWE to tease any type of confrontation between them.

For now, adding another man to the Fastlane main event to make it seem bigger doesn't solve the problem that already existed. The Triple Threat seemed like throwaway to begin with, and it's clear that SmackDown's writers just want to get this pay-per-view out of the way so they can focus on Shinsuke Nakamura's challenge at WrestleMania 34.
