Shocking Stat About Tay Conti's AEW Run

Aligning with Sammy Guevara on-air hasn't worked out for Tay Conti's in-ring AEW run...

Tay Conti's in-ring activity level has gone off a cliff in All Elite Wrestling.

As originally pointed out by Reddit user u/DamieN62, the Brazilian has barely competed since she and real-life partner Sammy Guevara became an on-air couple on AEW Dynamite's 9 March episode. Conti has not registered a single Dynamite, Rampage, Dark, or Dark: Elevation bout since then, only working one bout for her home promotion in over four months. That was Double Or Nothing 2022's mixed trios match pitting Conti, Guevara, and Frankie Kazarian against the Men of the Year and the debuting Paige VanZant.

Beyond her one AEW outing, Conti has worked a couple of matches for AAA and one for independent promotion NEW in the same time period. Her last bout was a mixed tag pitting her and Sammy against Ashley D'Amboise and Flip Gordon on 18 June.

Conti has wrestled just nine times in 2022 overall. Her last contest on AEW television was her and Anna Jay's bloody Street Fight with The Bunny and Penelope Ford in December.

Although Tay retains a steady on-screen presence alongside Guevara and the rest of the Jericho Appreciation Society, her in-ring career, for whatever reason, appears to be stalling. This comes just four months after being a featured challenger for Jade Cargill's TBS Championship at Revolution 2022.
