In front of a white-hot New York City crowd, Stephanie Vaquer walked out of NXT Roadblock as a double champion last night.

The main event of Roadblock had Vaquer putting her NXT Women's North American Championship on the line in a winner-takes-all match against NXT Women's Champion Giulia. And when all was said and done, it was the Dark Angel standing tall and with two pieces of gold to her name.

As for the match itself, it took a couple of superkicks and a couple of SSBs to finally put the Beautiful Madness away, with Roadblock closing out as confetti rained down on Stephanie Vaquer - bringing Giulia's reign to an end at 63 days.

In NXT and the wider WWE, a double champion has usually resulted in the lesser of those titles being vacated, and it remains to be seen whether that will indeed be the case here for the Women's North American Championship. As of now, though, Vaquer is officially the Women's North American Champion and the NXT Women's Champion.

While it was Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia headlining NXT Roadblock, the show opened in explosive fashion as the Hardys successfully defended the TNA Tag Team Championships against NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom. Full of plenty of electric offense, the W would be sealed when Jeff Hardy hit his patented Swanton Bomb on Axiom for the 1-2-3.

Next up, former two-time NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez lost to recent WWE signee Jordynne Grace, again with the crowd heavily invested in both women. In what should likely be the Prodigy's final NXT match - at least for the foreseeable future - Grace grabbed the win with her Juggernaut Driver.

With the NXT Title on the line, Oba Femi and Moose put on a fantastic hoss fight third on the card. One for the big-meaty-men-slapping-meat crowd, both fellas laid it in nice and snug, complete with Oba being put through a table. Still, it was the Ruler of NXT who managed to eke out the victory here, countering a spear into the Fall From Grace to a standing ovation from the Theatre at MSG crowd.

Playing up the NYC theme, Je'Von Evans finally managed to get the better of Ethan Page in a New York City Street Fight next. The Young OG brought plenty of his usual high-flying attacks to the table, quite literally at one point when a diving Ace Crusher saw Je'Von put All Ego through a table on the outside. As for the finish, it would come down to another Ace Crusher from Evans to get the win, though the 20-year-old would then be attacked post-match by the mystery masked faction that's popped up in NXT in recent weeks.

All in all, an extremely solid five-match, two-hour wrestling show from NXT as the brand now switches its attention to Stand & Deliver on WrestleMania Weekend.
