1. Sting vs. Jeff Hardy (Victory Road 2011)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H4yZ0gPOH0 This really isn't even a match, it's more like a pro wrestling version of an intervention. Jeff Hardy's had notorious struggles with substance issues, being let go from both TNA and WWE for his proverbial "demons." When he showed up at Victory Road "in no condition to perform", he was inexplicably still allowed to make his way out to the ring. I can only assume TNA thought it better to trot him out for an embarrassing spectacle rather than deny their paying fan a chance to see him. Whatever the case, Eric Bischoff interrupts the introductory proceedings to inform Sting that he needs to make quick work of Hardy. Hardy is obviously wasted on something or some things, and Sting is rightfully angry. The match itself is less than a minute of "action", with Sting throwing a few shots before dropping Hardy with the Scorpion Death Drop. Jeff was apparently oblivious to what was happening though and still tried to kick out but Sting held on for the three. It was a black mark on Hardy's career and on TNA. Luckily Sting was professional enough to do what needed to be done and get out of there as quickly as possible. The last image is Sting walking to the back with his new TNA Heavyweight championship, the fans calling bull**** and Sting simply saying "I agree. I agree." So there you have it. If you're not familiar with Sting do yourself a favor and check out some of these matches, as well as many of his great segments and promos. He's provided some truly classic moments.
