Sting: 5 Awesome Matches And 5 That Sucked

5 Awesome Matches...

5. Sting vs. Cactus Jack - Falls Count Anywhere (Beach Blast 1992)

Beach Blast was a ridiculously named pay-per-view that WCW held in the summers of 1992 and 1993. The 93 show is famous for the absolutely absurd videos of Sting, Davey Boy Smith, Vader, Sid Vicious, a one-eyed midget and an exploding yacht. It's insane, and it's fantastic. Beach Blast 1992, along with some other outstanding matches delivered this gem. Cactus Jack, who would go on to much greater fame as Mankind and then just regular old Mick Foley, was making a name for himself in WCW with his reckless style in the ring. He wrestled like an unhinged lunatic, hurting himself as much as he did his opponents. When the two squared off in this Falls Count Anywhere match it was pure chaos. Foley has called it one of the best matches of his career, and with good reason. Sting was somewhat out of his comfort zone in this one and he rose to the occasion. The match is pretty crazy, with both men taking some wicked bumps (Foley took more, of course) and it helped remind fans that Sting is more than just a musclebound pretty boy.
