4. Sting vs. Vader - White Castle Of Fear Strap Match (Superbrawl 3)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihwAbLHpMRw For some reason here's another match that WCW thought needed a horrendously hilarious promo video to build hype for it. The White Castle Of Fear "mini-movie" is revered in wrestling lore for all the wrong reasons. Look it up, it's beautiful. Strap matches can be very hit or miss. The rules are that in order to win a wrestler must drag his opponent to all four corners of the ring, and once he's touched each one in succession the match is over. The gimmick limits the wrestlers in their ability to work and the psychology at play. This one is probably the greatest strap match of all-time. The story here was that Vader, having nearly 200 pounds on Sting, would be virtually impossible to carry from corner to corner. thus putting the Stinger at an extreme disadvantage. Vader is another guy who Sting proved to have awesome chemistry with, and it shows here. He was at his absolute prime during this period and putting on some great matches. It's a shame he never got any further during his run in WWE. There was a time when he was the best big man worker in the business. The match itself is brutal and the ending provides a lot of drama. If you enjoy this one, check out some other great matches between the two, such as Starrcade and the Great American Bash, both from 1992.
