2. Facilitate The Downfall Of The Authority
WWE.comThe Authority's corporate reign of terror has been in effect since August of 2013. And in those 11 months, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have done everything in their power to destroy every WWE Superstar that has gotten in their way. They embarrassed and humiliated The Big Show. They mocked Daniel Bryan and prevented him from reaching the top. And they're now backing Seth Rollins who betrayed The Shield, thus removing their only real opposition. And now there's no one left to defy them, no one with a prayer of even slowing them down. No one, except Sting. Sting would be a breath of fresh air in The Authority angle. He would step into the middle of the fray and he would be above it all. He has no stake in the immediate future of WWE but he also has no main event career to build or protect. All he would have is a history of going to war with one faction after another in WCW. And this is one fight he would not back down from. He went toe to toe with every member of The Four Horsemen. He stood his ground and tried to protect his company from The nWo. And if he stepped up to The Authority, he would maintain the same hard stance as he always has. Sting is a man of action, not words and he would not give in to Triple H. His presence alone would almost guarantee that the rest of the WWE locker room would stand with him. He could rally the troops like no other Superstar can because of the respect he has from the roster. He would be taking the role that CM Punk or Stone Cold would have taken had the circumstances been different. Sting would lead the charge because he has nothing to lose and because only he could get the job done.
