Sting vs The Undertaker: 10 Angles WWE Must Play Out

1. Wrestlemania XXXI

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xjzii6jtIc March 29, 2015, Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, CA. Anticipated as one of the greatest Wrestlemanias ever, with The Rock vs Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton vs Triple H, and Daniel Bryan vs John Cena all lined up for the show. Headlining, however, is The Undertaker vs Sting. The match that everyone has been waiting for. The match that many thought would never happen. Now that it's here, it still doesn't feel real, and in a few hours it will all be over for one of these men. The buildup to the bout is insane, as the two men deliver their finest promos ever in the weeks leading up to the event. It's important that Sting doesn't look too weak; his inferior size and age disadvantage need to not look like a problem for this to not be a predictable outcome. With a career vs career match, there would really be no telling as to who might come out on top and who might be going home. An Undertaker win seems too obvious, but a Sting win feels like a robbery by having Undertaker lose twice in a row before retiring. Perhaps a double count-out might be viable, with both men reaching their limits before both hitting the floor. If both men are thinking of retiring, then this would surely be a way to have it work out, with both superstars pushing each other to a point that nobody else ever has. Both men ultimately realise that they're as good as each other, and the result proves that neither man can better the other. It's an unusual but smart way of honouring both men's careers on their final day at work for an industry for which they've done so much. Regardless of the result, be sure to see tears and standing ovations, as the two men hug and raise their arms aloft. The last of their kind, bowing out in style as only they could.
