Sting To WWE: 10 Reasons His Deal Is A Mistake For All Involved

10. Warrior's Death

Warrior's sudden death in April 2014 must have made every old-time wrestler stop and think about continued roles in pro wrestling. An adrenaline filled environment which involves heavy travelling and 12 hour shifts of media appearances is wearing enough. Then there's the physical aspect, even non-wrestlers end up taking a ring spot somewhere along the line. Maybe it was coincidence, but Sting's deal seemed to be slowed down right around the time Warrior died. Maybe he saw similarities in his own career. Both Sting and Warrior started their wrestling journey together, both had huge fame in the early 90's and both spent the latter half of the 90's and 2000's refusing to work for Vince McMahon. When Warrior eventually ended up going back to WWE television he was dead just a day later. Perhaps Sting has reevaluated his priorities in life. One last paycheque and one last cheer just wasn't worth it for Warrior. Sting might look himself in the mirror and decide it could be the same sort of mistake to go back to wrestling when he doesn't really need it anymore.
