Vince McMahon is not buying WWE back.

If you were worried about this, you can stop. It isn't happening.

A new Fightful Select report titled No, Vince McMahon Isn't Buying Back WWE points out that re-buying the wrestling promotion he sold to Endeavor in April 2023 is likely a financial impossibility for McMahon. WWE's market value has increased since then, and the $9.3 billion Vince pocketed for his shares would not be enough to regain control.

The 79-year-old McMahon retains a stake in TKO Group (the parent company formed to house WWE and UFC following the WWE sale), with Endeavor, Silver Lake Equityholders, and Egon Durban owning 60.92%, per Wrestlenomics.

Rumours of Vince wanting to buy WWE back started swirling earlier this week, when former WWE broadcaster Jonathan Coachman claimed:

"I’ve been, by the way, going viral. You've probably seen I’ve been quoted everywhere when I talked about Vince re-buying [WWE]. I’ve been quoted everywhere. And the one thing I’ve yet to be wrong about, anything. And so now, all of a sudden I’m getting all of these websites, because I have educated views, and I also have people that are tipping me off. Now, do I know 100% he’s going to buy [WWE]? I know he wants to."

This understandably created a sense of dread amongst WWE fans who have enjoyed the promotion's post-McMahon era, with Paul 'Triple H' Levesque leading creative.

It's entirely believable that Vince wants his company back.

But as far as actually buying WWE from Endeavor?

No chance in hell.

Besides, McMahon has other things to worry about at the moment.
