The 12 WWE Wrestlers Who Debuted In 2017 - Ranked
3. Asuka
WWE Debut: TLC
PPV, October 22
With less than three months on the main roster, it’s scary how quickly Asuka has become a major force in the Raw women’s division.
Undefeated during two years in NXT, including 17 months as NXT Women’s Champion, Asuka has continued her winning ways in WWE, running through the opposition. She overcame a 2-1 deficit to win the women’s Survivor Series match for the Raw brand. Fans’ chant of “Asuka’s gonna kill you” has followed her to WWE, which is a great sign.
Most importantly, WWE has treated Asuka like a big deal, which has gone a long way toward making her an immediate player. And with the women’s Royal Rumble match coming up (and Asuka announcing that she’s entering it), 2018 could be a huge year for the Empress of Tomorrow.
