9. The Brothers Of Destruction Win The WWE Tag Team Championships For The First Time - SmackDown (19 April 2001)
2001 was a successful year for the Brothers of Destruction. Their first (and only) real year as an official tag team, they spent the vast majority of it adding some star-power to the division. Stepping up to the the Two-Man Power Trip soon led to the pair securing themselves a WWE Tag Team Championship match.
Despite brutal interference from Austin and Triple H, Undertaker and Kane managed to defeat Edge and Christian to win the titles. It was the first of two times that the veterans would win the gold (they would go on to win them and the WCW Tag Titles later that year) and this automatically elevated the prestige of the belts.
Given their dominance, it's unfortunate that their first title reign didn't last longer than 12 days, but it was undoubtedly a memorable one as it added another valuable factor to the pair's feud with 'The Game' and 'The Rattlesnake' - who both possessed the WWE and Intercontinental Championships.
