The Complete A-Z Of The Undertaker
7. T - Tombstone
Named as such by Gorilla Monsoon in his Survivor Series televised debut, the devastating reverse piledriver is still virtually untouchable as a finishing move within WWE canon.
In fact, for the most part, that is literally the case.
Stemming from the broad piledriver ban in the wake of neck injuries to Steve Austin and others in the late-1990s, only Undertaker and Kane were permitted to use the manoeuvre, and even then it was sometimes held off for special occasions only.
Outside of some memorable kick-outs in more recent years, the move has been fiercely protected, and will remain inexorably linked to 'The Deadman' even if appropriated by future talents.
