WWE's best pay-per-view of the year, Evolution was the culmination of the company's best ever year for women's wrestling to date (more on that later).

A deep card of action brilliantly expressed the individuality of every performer on the card. Lashings of nostalgia were reserved for a battle royal and a fiery opening tag team match, Ronda Rousey's domination of The Bella Twins proffered a cathartic and star-heavy main event, whilst Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair had a match-of-the-year contender that felt every bit the fight the Last Woman Standing stipulation required.
