The Deceased Dozen Of The 1990 Royal Rumble

8. Hercules (7 May 1956 – 6 March 2004)

Ultimate Warrior Rumble 90
WWE

The unremarkable fourth wheel in the 1990 Royal Rumble's closing quartet, Hercules was a late arrival at #29 and only lasted three minutes before being unceremoniously dumped by Ravishing Rick Rude.

Having outlived his usefulness as a babyface, Hercules would spend months as a jobber-to-the-stars on the bloated WWE roster, including a crushing WrestleMania VI defeat to Earthquake as a curtain-raiser for 'Quake's summer programme with Hulk Hogan.

Only a heel turn late in the summer would extend Hercules' tenure on the roster, though he does hold an odd record of appearing on every single pay-per-view presented by the company during his seven year tenure, and would bizarrely go nearly forty minutes in the following year's battle royal.
